Some people don't consider TTD to be a rollercoaster because of its lack of a chain, though. But yeah, I seriously doubt that when your ridding the ride you can tell your going 30 feet higher and 6 MPH faster than on TTD. I'd rather ride the originals (cough, Millenium Force (first 300 ft), TTD (first 400), and Magnum (first 200)). All of those belong to Cedar Point.
Top Thrill Dragster is considered a StrataCoaster, so yes, it's technically a roller coaster. Many new roller coasters lack chains. For example, Millenium Force, classified as a GigaCoaster, uses a cable lift, which lacks a chain.
