My first foray into .php modification stumped quickly by... (tadah!) an encrypted file!

Is there a way I can mod a file (/source/register.php) so I can have a "welcome PM" to my members?

No this is not a trial version! Yes, this is a licensed site (with the server owned by IPB).

Someone suggested to me re-uploading files to the site after I downloaded the IPB package from my client page... Voila! It's encrypted too!

I downloaded Zend Optimizer, but I don't think uploading this into the site is even legal or would do any good.

Is there a better way to get inside /source/register.php?

In case you're wondering what mod I'm talking about, it's the "f2-Auto PM New Members v5.1" found in Invisionize community.

Any help is appreciated! thumbsup.gif

There's no way to edit the file, you'll have to do without.

But I've seen other mods that needs to alter /souces/register.php...

Unless this has something to do with IPB registration.....? sad.gif

[QUOTE[** Free IPB is a version which contains some encoded files and will only run on IPS owned servers.

Meaning if you want mods, you have to also get a IPB licence with your hosting. Yearly is $60, so thats not too expensive.

If you cancelled your hosting, could you get subsidised license? Then get your own hosting?
