I just installed the Blog Module, and I am setting things up and while testing it, I enabled the user freindly URL feature, and now I get a 404 page. I checked the admin and the settings for the feindly URL are correct. So what else could it be?

Did you chmod 0777 the Blog directory?

What does the Check Friendly URL settings tool tell you?
eaglewolf
Yes permission are correct, and the friendly URL check says everything is OK.
W1lz0r
Did you enable it on your Blog using the UserCP Blog settings?
eaglewolf
Yes
W1lz0r
Can you pass me a link to your board?
eaglewolf
It is very strange it started working again. Maybe I did something out of order..

But know the maintitle background images are not showing up.

You need to go to the general config for the board in the ACP and set the IMAGE URL, there is a KB article about it: http://docs.invisionpower.com/kb/article.php?id=198

Heop this helps you!

Note: If you have the gallery - ensure to set this in the gallery controls too.

Regards,

Michael

if that's the "blogs" directory then yeah definately 777 i checked it 3 times

Make sure that you have the correct setting for path to boards index.php.

In your case this should be: /home/admin/public_html

Once you have changed a Friendly URL setting, make sure to rebuild the friendly URL files in the Blog Tools section.

I have friendly URLs enabled and in comments team icons are not displayed, when I did the properties of the broken image, it said the image was in the users blog directory

Any ideas?
W1lz0r
You can enter the full URL in group settings for the team icon. That should fix it.

I finally enabled friendly URL with 1.1.1 and most of it works fine.... however...

the checker in the ACP says the freidnly URL is not configured correclty even though it works. The gallery block only displays a broken image now as where before (non friendly URL mode) the image was displayed.

hummmmm.
W1lz0r
You can enter the full URL in the Gallery setting: URL to stored images. This is an URL starting with http://
