It would be nice to be able to keep the messages marked as new until we actually click on the Mark this forum as read.

Nope... Anyway not on mine. They are markes as read as soon as you open the post.

Sometimes you want a quick look in the forum but not mark it as read right away. Or keep it marked for some other reason.

If it is that way for you Pleeeaaaase tell me how to do it because I've been bugging people for a month now about this :lol

That's a good idea, BUT I don't think this should be standard. Insted of "Mark this Forum as read" the shoul also be "mark this forum as unread".

I don't see any point in that... Why not mark a post as read once you've read it? O_o.

There you also have the option to mark msgs. as unread. Why? Because you want to look at it again, more carefully, some time later because you are 2 busy at the moment...

No there is no feature for it. I think you can select "Track Topic" and it will place it in your My Controls for follow up .. Then just unsubcribe when your done looking at it carefully ..
