There's an election going on? :-"

Yes, but don't worry we're all impressed if you realise there's a world outside your borders that doesn't have terrorists (or other people that can be labelled as 'evil' like the French) in.

On the casinos thing... Up until recently I didn't care whether we had them or not, it's not something I particularly had an opinion about. Then the other night there was a documentary on BBC 2 following a guy that had a gambling addiction, and that changed my opinion. We don't need them in this country.

I didn't see it but I can imagine it is pretty scary and of grave concern. I find it alarming how many are in serious debt all thanks to the credit card and loans industry and of course the gambling thing just makes it all worse because quite often it is the vulnerable and desperate who get into gambling in a big way.

Either it's the liberal youth of today, or this is really biased in favour of Lib Dems. Apparently if you vote strongly in favour of all of UKIP's policies, you get Lib Dem original.gif (So say my blog readers.)

Bec and I just did the test and we are sure it's skewed in favour of the Lib Dems even if not intentionally. The stuff it listed as Lib Dems being in favour of weren't the things we agreed or disagreed with (depending on the question).

I think it's because of the way neutral questions are scored. If you check netural for something, that should be a 0 for every party because you're saying you don't care one way or the other. But as this site scores it, if a party is against something and you choose netural, it scores heavily against that party, which makes no sense.

I'd like to see the scores if neutral answers didn't count.

Did anyone catch "Election 2005: Ask Michael Howard" on ITV tonight? It was a studio (live I think) debate where members of the audience got to him him some questions. Next Monday they will get to do the same to Charles Kennedy (11pm ITV) and the week after that it will be Tony Blair. Worth watching if you are interested in this election.

Channel 4 have created their own "Fact Check" website checking up on certain facts across all the main parties. Well worth a look:
