ok log into your admin control panel (admin cp) go to VIEW GENERAL SETTINGS and scroll to where it says CPU SAVING & OPTIMIZATION scroll down the page a little to where it says TURNING FEATURES OFF, the bottom option should be Show Board Totals? Show the board totals at the footer of the board index page. You can choose either yes or no here.

still in the admin cp click on MANAGE USER GROUPS then choose the group you want to hide from other members using EDIT USER GROUP. there is an option in there to hide this user group from the members list just make sure the dot is in the YES option.

ok this needs to be done again in the admin cp. again go to MANAGE USER GROUPS, click on EDIT USER GROUP and where it says

Online List Format
(Can be left blank)
(Example:<span style='color:red'>)
you need to put in something like this....

for my Admin group i use the colour purple so in this box i have the following
QUOTE
<span style='color:#681294'>
this then changes the colour of that member group on the online list. You can either use the colour hex code or the name of the colour you want to use.

hope that's helpful and not too confusing

To follow up to astrogem's tutorial, you'll need to end the

</span>
tag in the box below that one. original.gif

These are good instructions, thanks for posting them.

I am new to IPB (coverting over from Threads) so bear with me please. unsure.gif

The instructions above change the name in the list of users online but not in the postlist or when viewing a topic.

How or what do I change so that in the postlist and topic view the admins and mod names are different colors?

TIA.

Thank you thank you and thank you some more. Perfect and simple and easy for this idiot to understand. biggrin.gif

Give me a round of applause I added a <b to bold it as well.

Please have you or has anybody got more of the colour codes?

Thank you now the hard part to choose which colors:D

Silly question is there a glow effect? I just noticed on another IPB forum the names glowed.
