While the majority of minors in the US seem to be either uneducated about or indifferent to political matters, it would be short-sighted to assume that this is the case in the rest of the world.

When I was quite a bit younger I was interested in voting. However, I now believe that it would be too easy for one political candidate to "brainwash" a younger kid.
Since the voting age is 18 in the United States, I don't see why it would be necessary to change it to 16.
However, as for other countries it may be better to lower the current voting age.
