I'm looking for a free news posting php script. Multiple admins would be good, and comments are a must.

Currently I'm looking at
FusionNews ( http://www.fusionphp.net )
CuteNews ( http://www.cutephp.com )

You want ONLY news?

...also, why wouldn't you look towards something that integrates into IPB? I see that you're a customer, so...

CuteNews is quite good. I used it some time ago and never had problems.

I'm interested in keeping the news system separate from all other parts of my site and am leaning towards flatfile anyway (especially so I can give updates if say board or mysql is down)

So far, I'm still in a tossup between that and FusionNews.

Does it have to be PHP, or are you interested in any older Perl scripts?
Trel

do you know offhand if the news can be displayed on existing pages (via php's include) or if it has to use a centralized page of theirs?

It has an RSS export feature which you could use, not sure if that's any use? original.gif
