Anyone know where I can buy Gatorade in the UK? I'm looking for either a supermarket where I can buy it bottled, or somewhere online that sells the powder you can use to make it yourself.
Any ideas? Daft question I know, but I love the stuff. We have Powerade here which I don't like.

Looks like you're going to have to buy it in a powdered form from somewhere online that will ship to the UK. That's odd that it's not there (after looking at Froogle).

Go to
http://www.ironmanuk.com/ and click on the Gatorade logo at the top, a tub that makes 8.5litres is £8.99.
A lot of places wouldn't sell it because they'd need to pay a large amount to import it, so they'd need to know they'd have a good demand first.

Why is it odd?
My house mate got some imported last year, horrible stuff, way too sweet

It's so successful here I'm surprised they haven't grown to other countries (from what I know of).

We have Lucozade here which is already an established brand and has been for ages. They sponsor most mainstream sports I can think of. So Gatorade would have a fight if they were to launch here. I love original lucozade (which is a fizzy orange energy drink) but I'm not keen on their still drinks.

Vimto is made in Warrington.
Some info about Vimto
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vimto There was even a story about a family loving it so much that Vimto installed a tap for them to get Vimto all the time.

Hey! I drink water by the gallon.

Someone on my board from Scotland said that something tasted like Tootsie Rolls, and implies she couldn't get them there, yet they have them here. I thought the UK was the best place for candy... I wish the Nestle Choc/Mint Aero was sold more places. For some reason, a lot of American stores consider anything chocolate/mint to be taboo. I think it's damn good but apparently I am in a minority. (However, we have a really great store called Cost Plus World Market which imports all kinds of things from furniture to decorations to food from all over the world. Great way to try new things.)

Oh yes. It's the only chocolate I've found that I can eat a 200g bar of and still want more! I've found other chocolate bars, including the Nestle and Mars/Masterfoods families to be less solid and more sickly.

Yeah, Nestle chocolate is good as part of a bar, e.g. Mars, Snickers etc. but I don't think the chocolate itself is special. I could eat Dairy Milk all day though.
