Nostramus was some french guy who predicted the future with his "Quantrains" ( 4 lined poems ).
He predicted James II and his execution, the French Revolution, Hitler and his rise in Germany, Napoleon's conquests, John Kennedies assasination and even 9/11.

The final prediction is that "Mabus", the third anti-christ will rise, and the world will know , the USA will have another civil war, and the king of terror will return Ghenis Khan, then"Ghenis Khan" will "send his bird of fire" which will destroy his enemies, and Mabus will die,and in revenge, mabus's people will wage war, casueing WWIII. Soon after, a comet will hit the earth and then the sun will engulf the earth.

I think its a load of crap, but if you think of it, it makes sense. Ghenis Khan is George bush, the killer, he send his bird of fury " Nuclear Missiles" and Mabus, ( If you change the "b" in to a "d" and say his name backwords, it will be "Sudam"--->Saddam Hussein. )

I have several books of Nostradamus. The predictions are all in old french so its open to debate, however he did not fore see 9/11.

The interreptations of the prophencies I've read say the anti-christ who will plunge the world into war will be born in the middle east and that his mother will be a prostitute and his father a holy man.

As for George Bush, Saddam, World War 3 and the end of the world. Nostradamus clearly stated the end of the world some time around 4500 starting with violent quakes in the month of march, some how I doubt Bush and co will be around then

You have to respect Nostradamus. If you're going to make up random bull about the future making up stuff about 400 years after you die is probably the way to go. That way no ones around to knock on your door when it turns out you're wrong.

I prophesize that there will be another war sometime in the near future. Does that make me Nostradmus?

some years don't always match. like it may be 2005 for some people but for others it may be 7315. He could mean any 4500 year, hewbrew which would tranlsate to I think like some where between 1900 and 2200 I think. I'm not hewberew, but from the bible code books i've read some people think of a diffrent year.

Well Nostradamas was French so one would assume he would be using the Julian calendar system. if he did use a different calendar system would he not have used the same one for each prediction, in which case it messes up several other predictions such as the 1999 one, which by using the Hebrew system would have placed it thousands of years before the "prediction" was made .

I saw a show on Discovery once about Nostradamus. His prophecies are neat to ponder over, but I don't particularly believe any of them. They can all be twisted into many different meanings, so it's easy to "confirm" them after a specific event has happened.

Just like all of the "fortune tellers" and the like out there that disappeared after 9/11. Edit, well it's the opposite action with the same reaction.

We've had a few forum civil wars in the time - mostly threads about homosexuality. Half the forum against another half. Thank God for the 'close' button...

They say Nostradamus stared into a pot to make his predictions. I say they are wrong, he was smoking it...LOL

His predictions are so vague that they could easily be interpreted and applied to any event after the fact...

Some of his prochecies are similar to the readings of the Holy Quaran, for the islamic religion, such as the one man who conquers the world, and tricks people in to believing he is jesus.
