A girl I know is working on recording and putting out a cd. I'm looking for feedback on what you all think of her work so far. Her name is Colette Trudeau and you can check out 3 of her songs on her myspace profile page http://www.myspace.com/colettetrudeau . Her style of music is pop rock, she has an amazing voice and can lay down powerful vocals. She's a song writer plays guitar.

I figure this would be a safe forum to ask what people think of her. I can't believe how rude / ignorant the internet has gotten over the past few years. In the few places where I have made a post about her already, I only got flamed / she got flamed. I doubt any one ever even checked her out before replying with spam / unrelated content. I have yet to get any feedback from other people on the net I don't know / chat with. The only type of replies I got were like, "How much are you getting paid to do this", "He must be her girlfriend", "I used to have sex with a girl who looks like her", "go away, we only listen to underground hip hop around here" and "If you're going to make a post about some one, you should at least post about some one who has talent". That's just some of the stuff I got. Is this what looking cool in the internet is now? Just posting flames / making people look bad?

Anyways I'm looking for what you all think of thank of her songs, voice and style. If her kind of music isn't your style, just say that, and just say something brief about what you thought of her songs. The invision community is great, and know I won't get any of that junk in your replies, unless your mocking it, hehe. So a big thumbs up to you all!

Also, If any one has any tips on how to advice the flaming I got above, please let me know. I'm going to try to spread word about her on some music forums.

Colette Trudeau is the former front girl of the all female Canadian Rock Band LiveonRelease. LiveonRelease released two albums and a EP in Canada, and shot five music videos which received heavy rotation on muchmusic. Colette has been on extensive tours across Canada wih her former band LiveonRelease, She has already performed several hundreds shows, and has played with artists such as simple plan, the moffets, not by choice, kazza, gob, tuuli, bif naked, Goldfinger, Matthew Good Band, Treble Charger, Big Wreck, and a few more. LiveonRelease also headlined their own a few tours as well. She has also appears on many television shows as well as preformed live on television receiving rave reviews.

Not sure what I think of it yet, but.. I think I like it (I'm extremely undecisive ) and she's going to be a hit.

Yeah she has a good voice. Dunno how to put this, but I'd like to hear some songs with more "vocal range?" Maybe an Avril lavigne type song would suit her voice quite well.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I would love to hear a nice range too. She is very capable of doing it too. Those 3 songs on her myspace don't show too much of vocal range, and I'm not entirely sure if she will have songs that will on her album, I'll have to ask her next time we talk as I am intrested in knowing this actualy. But there are some good vocal ranges in some of the songs she recorded with LiveonRelease.

Oh, very good. Not 100% sure about Freeze but I like Spin Me alot. I'm definately a fan of this style music, I have albums from several of the artists she's listed as influences.

Was wondering when they would start releasing seperate work. I know Britt Black released her solo album, hasn't done much yet. Here's when they were LiveOnRelease.

Yeah, its good to see work coming from the girls. A lot of people are only just hearing about it who are fans of LiveonRelease, but Colette has been workin on going solo for two years now, and britt since last summer.
