Well, are you going to use it is the question?

One of the best programs is Notepad2.
.Kris
It depends on what it is, so you have to tell me and i try it original.gif

Notepad2: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html

also does it upgrade the current notepad i have to 2, or its a new install? Also if it upgrades if i dont like it and uninstall it do i get notepad back?

And for anyone im windows xp user
princetontiger
No, it's basically a light program that highlights syntax. It distinguishes between programming languages nicely.
.Kris
So you recommend it? I got UltraEdit is it better than that?
IAIHMB
UltraEdit has become worse with each release, if you've been downloading the updates. Why not just buy a book or two, and put what you've currently got to the test? tongue.gif

My UltraEdit version is Ultra Edit -32 Version 10.20d+ that one still good ?
So would would you recommend to replace it? notepad2?
im in a question mood today tongue.gif
IAIHMB
The current version is UltraEdit-32 11.10+2, if you check out their 'support' forums you will see that this release has caused more issues than it has fixed. If your version does all that you want it to, then stick with it. I've switched to BBEdit on a Macintosh, that's where it's at. tongue.gif

For anyone to know: http://www.zend.com/store/products/zend-studio/

I think ill try it out i like some of the features.
one50bpm
the only ones i use alot are, Frontpage, and Firefox, sometimes HomeSite 5.5 when i dont feel like using frontpage....
.Kris
whats frontpage?
Zoruglu
Frontpage is to be avoided AT ALL COSTS!!! LOL!!!!

I've been using UltraEdit 10 for 2 weeks and it's not as niceas it used to be indeed... the last version I used was 8 and that one was fine...

Now I use Zend and I'm really happy with it, if you develop PHP it's worth to give it a try.
I'm very happy with Zend so I'll drop UltraEdit for now original.gif

I know you like to make graphics so Texture Maker might interrest you...

Ultra Fractal is a very nice fractal generator... You can export layers in psd format so you can directly import it into photoshop to tweak it there, it's really cool!

That's it for now original.gif

I'm just looking for a good PHP Text Editor, I also have been using the latest version of UltraEdit (11.10a+2), it's pretty good for what I do but I need something much less advanced/complex, just syntax highlighting and some good search and replace features. Along with search and replace in multiple files.

Tried http://www.eclipse.org - Eclipse IDE?

The main version supports creating Java applications only, but with a few plugins from websites you can do PHP and C/C++
