Hello, I was curious about something. I know that Invision has the great feature of invisible posts in a thread, for moderating threads, however, I noticed the feature is only available to the moderators of the section and the administrators. I was curious if there was anyway this could be changed in the admin panel or some other way so that ALL members in the Moderator and Administrator (regardless to whether they moderate the section in question or not) are able to create and see the invisible posts. I feel this would be very helpful on my board and I am curious if this feature is available and I just have not seen how to change it of yet.
Thanks for your help

I'm not sure I understand your question fully, but I've just tried this out and found that super moderators can set posts invisible and view them. I presume this is what you think isn't happening?

yes, I know super mods can, I would like mods to be able to however....currently, if a member moderates a section, then they have are able to create invisible posts in that section. As Super Mods can moderate anywhere, they ofcourse can create invisible posts anywhere......So currently the invisible post function is set so that IF you moderate a section, you can create invisible posts in it, what I want is IF you are in certain usergroups, you can create invisible posts anywhere (essentially).

Well the problem with that is, like on my forum, what if you had a member based forum (like if they payed you) and they arnt official management. You wouldnt want them to see invisible posts out side their forum since they are essentially still "members".
You could assign you're moderators and make them super mod's, but they would be able to mod everywhere (remind them to keep to their forum or something). But I guess it would be nice to have an additional group option.

Problem I have with invisible post's is they have to be submitted and thus can potentially be read by members before they can be set as invisible, admin's could do with a better system to set them invisible before submission?Just noticed we dont have the end quote etc button anymore in this wysiwyg format!

bgrd, you can set the forum settings so that all posts are moderated. This sets all posts invisible straight after submission. See
QUOTE
Moderate postings?
(Requires a moderator to manually add posts/topics to the forum)
in the forum settings.

But that doesn't help if you want to make an individual post invisible to all but moderators for instance!
