Where did you find the money? I'm guessing most of you with IPB boards are adults who don't have to convince your parents to use credit cards etc. over the internet. I'm thinking of starting a business if I move to IPB in order to pay for it.
IAIHMB

I have more than enough money (about $2,000 saved up over eight years), but my parents don't want me buying things over the Internet, no matter how hard I try to convince them that https:// = secure.

Candy is dandy but liquoir is quicker!

Shouldn't that be liquor?

And why are your parents so lost regarding the web? Have you tried to educate them?

Dont have the cash yet, but im working through some web design for charity groups (who insist on paying for all expenses and a small builders fee), Unfortunately, the board cant figure out why they would need IPB, and I cant make myself say "You dont, i do...but you can pay for it..." tongue.gif

I had enough money recently, but I had to (yes had) to upgrade my 4 and 1/2 yr old POS computer. So I used my IPB money to build a new system sad.gif (and w00t was it worth it biggrin.gif:D:D). But im very close to having enough for a yearly license original.gif
Tomi.
Well, I kidnapped Matt and held him ransom. I was hoping for $1mil, but all I got was this lousy IPB license. laughing.gif

Same. Well... I pay with my Visa/debit card, but I do hosting as well. Leased license, very reasonable. The hosting isn't bad, not bad enough to where I'd go looking for cheaper hosting and have to worry about a yearly or perpetual license. wink.gif Especially since my board's just for fun, not making me any money.

Are you kidding? I paid $400 for them to go to a computing class for three weeks, and what did they get out of it? How to turn on a computer. They are completely illiterate when it comes to computers.

But it doens't matter anymore; I finally bought IPB original.gif

I paid for mine with my own money, but brought in enough donations throughout the year from my PayPal Donate link and Google Ads to make that money back, plus pay for my year of hosting.

I started my own web design business (in my siggy) because I am only 13 and cannot go out to work and get money.
