I have a job and the bill gets paid, that's all that is important.
Saved money + debit card/credit card (it has a mastercard logo on it, but it's from my bank after opening up a checking account).
That's a check card...

Over here (United States) the debit cards don't have the Visa nor the Master Card logo. We have the two kinds. (Besides regular credit cards).

Same here in Canada
works the same way as your chequeing account. Actually the only time I write cheques anymore is to pay my rent. everything else I pay online through the banks website, Or if I need time to pay I'll use my Credit Card. I rarely pay with cash anymore either I'll use my debit card and maybe carry $20.00 in my wallett
Yep, exactly, what I didn't explain well is that a Check Card is nothing more than a debit card with a Visa or Credit Card logo. It "behaves" exactly the same as a regular Credit Card but it works off of the current balance of the person's checking account, and it can be used as a regular debit card on ATM's.
Don't forget there are gift cards in the US now (and I think in Canada, too) with the Visa and Mastercard logos on them. They're pre-paid, and you can use them anywhere that accepts Visa and MC.
