You know what, Newegg sucks about his now, they have different locations they ship form now, and if on location close to you does not have it, they will ship form a different location, BUT, they do not tell you that when you check out.
What sucks about that, lets say your in California, and you buy from newegg. Yes, you get charged TAX. But when they ship it from New Jersey, its the same if I would have bought it from an out of state online store, and save on tax. Its my choice to guy from a cali store, and be charged tax. I didnt ask for them to ship it form New Jersey and still be charged tax.

You don't pay tax if where it's coming from is in the same state, you pay tax if the company you are purchasing it from is a legal corporation in that state (has a location). For example, Dell. They have stores in like 20 states, and if you order a computer (even though it's shipped out of Dell Headquarters) - they still legally have to charge to tax, because they have a location in those 20 states (example being my state, Ohio).

And let's not forget that CA also has the US's highest sales tax rate, currently at 8.25%. This is why I try to buy things from people located in Oregon; no sales tax

Sales Tax isn't defined by the state, it's defined by the county.
And, my county in Ohio's sales tax is 8%
