I have been developing a website called DropTracker. It's a service which tracks when domains are to expire. This is useful if you have multiple domains you want to monitor or if you're eyeing that valuable domain about to expire.

I first created it as cheaper solution to backordering. I am waiting for many domains to expire (so I can grab them), and paying $20 per domain to backorder is way too expensive for me. (Considering I'm eyeing about 10 domain names, that adds up to be $200!)

So, here is an example account:
http://droptracker.com/watch/example

If you want to login and see rest of the features, you can use:
username - example
password - example

I'm still adding features, fixing bugs, re-designing. It's a BETA version.

So, to my questions:
Do you think this type of service would come useful to domain owners? Does this website have promise? Would people pay for this service? If so, what kind of subscription price is reasonable? A friend of mine said $3.95/month is a good place to start. What do you think? What other features would you like to see?

Criticism and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

I'm really not sure if this type of service would be big, as I think most domain registrars do something along the lines of this for keeping your domains with them. I know that RegisterFly will send me emails when a domain name that I want to purchase is about to expire, and I also know that they will email me when one of my domain names is about to expire. ermm.gif

I've seen this before, did you post this on Neowin?

Looks good. I would use it if it was free personally, Godaddy emails me 60 days, then a month, a week, then when it expires (don't quote me on those days).
