I like the older acp for 2.0.x, but im guessing with the new acp its more easier for your so called "noobs".

I liked the log in screen for the admin CP in 1.3.x-2.0.x

Well, the log in for 2.1 aint so bad, it reminds me of vbulletin's; it could use some styling though, looks more like a splash really and ugly background is grayish so the old one looks a bit more appealing with white. What I liked more from 2.0's ACP is the left pane categories, which were outlined in different transparencies of color. I also like the expand collapse all cat's. But I guess it did clutter the left pane a bit, but to remedy this I just expand the frame of the page in a new tab. I don't like how 2.1 has more gray in it, and gray to me looks old when it comes to things relating to computers. I dont like how the warning feature still requires you to input why you warned a user. the subtitles in 2.1 cannot be deleted if erased, as there is no enter button to use with ajax. Offtopic: Where is the my assistant code anyways? Whats with the "Loading Data...Please Wait" for the quick edit? Why doesn't the "Post edited # minutes ago" show up after youve made a quick edit?Need to return to the thread to see it.
The tabs for the ACP are missing the hover mods, you need to click the link, which isnt really a bother but still.

I don't think at all it was even close to be cluttered in the old acp. You mean what php file My Assistant relies on? The loading data i guess to show its confirming and going through and the other i dont know.

You do know IPB 2.1 is still in production, right?

1. The problem I've had with the left navigation frame is that it loads terribly slow if you have added several modifications, even on a cable connection. It's annoying.

2. What do you mean by subheaders?

3. Why does the quick edit (topic title) require a "Go" button? Pressing "Enter" shouldn't be that hard.

4. I think the "Loading Data" thing is to show that it's actually loading the data.

With dial-up users (like me) it takes a while for the quick edit screen to pop up in a post. Sometimes it takes a very long time, and I don't know if it froze or not, so it's nice to see that it's actually loading the data.

5. What do you mean "where is the my assistant code"? blink.gif

6. Is that something you must have in the ACP? The link itself is self-explanitory. :\

Personally I love the new aCP although there are a couple of things that could be done to improve efficiency for admins - remember we've only just reached beta though so there's plenty of time for improvements and changes.

If you have suggestions and want Matt to see them, be sure to put them in the appropriate forums original.gif
