I have been working on a split site. One for my music and one for web design. Figure I would share what I have so far.
I plan on sharing most of the layout so the sites appear the same layout wise, just going for different visual looks.
The music side is 95% done less gallery, the web side is only a header and some space for now.
Any thoughts welcomed.

Full Version: Thoughts and Criticism
I looked over at the Singer/Songwriter Section and I quite like it. The header is especially well done imho, but the content looks a bit too plain to me. Maybe you could "spice up" the headlines a bit? Or something else, I dont know how to express it, I just have the feeling that some eyecandy within the content is missing. Or perhaps its the body BG wich seems a bit dark enough for me. 
Oh, and you got some minor code issues:
Comments shouldnt be like <!--- Header Begins ---> they should be more like <!-- comment --> (notice 2 instead of 3 -). And some <br>īs arent marked as empty (<br />).
Overall impression: nice work. I am looking forward to have a look at the completed webdesign section.

Due to the nature of the music I have tried to keep the site simple but appealing. Though you are right about the content. I basically just chaged the font to Times, matched the color to the new background color, and bolded all page titles and headers. I think it brings attention to the points and still keeps everthing looking simple.
I had to change the one <br> tag in the php code (I guess I missed one) and the comments were never meant to stay anyway, that was design info I was supposed to delete.
The web site page might have to wait awhile as I have a client the need attention right now.

Looks good, but on the main front page, make the images clickable as well as the text links underneath.

Yeah, I have not made it that far yet. Clients take priority. Maybe a week or two.
