Around 12:30 this morning, a good friend of mine's dad died in his sleep, aged 51. He had been fighting pancreatic cancer for nearly a year.
For me, this is a second person in my life who has gone to cancer. One of my grandmothers, on my mothers side, died in Decmeber 2001 after a 6 month battle. Unfortunately, my dad's mom has had cancer for almost three years now, and it isn't looking too good.
It's a heartbreaking disease, and watching the two in their final days broke my heart.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my Mom to (marrow) cancer in April, and my Dad about 14 years ago (to lung cancer).

Sorry to hear that. Most of my family have passed away from cancer too or at least had it. My Dad had prostate cancer 3 years ago but had major surgery and is now all clear. (Thank goodness!!) My Grandad had the same thing but he wasn't so fortunate in 1996

Sorry to hear that, and I hope that they will one day find a cure.
