Anybody here knows why name of Black Eyed Peas song "Don't
Phunk With My Hearth" changed to "Don't
Mess With My Hearth"?

It is still called "Don't Punk With My Heart" but for edited versions such as on Radio Disney, for example, the song is "Don't Mess With My Heart". You can still get the original version on the CD and on P2P/BitTorrent software.

There are really 3 versions available to the radio:
1. Original - Says Phunk (sounds like the F word)
2. Censored - Word Phunk is cut out, and there's silence
3. Mess - Says Mess

Why was it changed in 1st place?

I noticed the change when I was over in the USA. Over here I've never heard any version other than "don't phunk" but over there I guess they thought it sounded a bit too much like "the f word".

Honestly, I prefer the "mess with" version. Phunk is a corny word, imo. Just sounds funny.

there's the same thing in "signs", Justin said "... funk with me..." but when you hear it you only understand "f" or "fun"

In signs he does actually say "f**k with me" which is why in the radio edit it is blocked.

As previously stated, it's only a radio edit.

Same reason their song "Let's Get Retarded" was changed to "Let's Get It Started"... I guess Phunk sounds like something else

and to be politically correct on the airwaves.

I always thought "let's get it started in here" sounded better than "let's get retarded in here."

"Let's get it started" was changed? I've not heard the other one.
What I find absolutely laughable is the same rock station will play the Kid Rock/Sheryl Crow duet "Picture" and bleep out the one time Rock says "cocaine" and then turn around and play "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton, completely uncensored.
Or how the pop station played the crap outta "Hit Me Baby One More Time" by Bratney Spears :-" but when Shakira's song "Whenever Wherever" came out, they completely removed the lines "Lucky my breasts are small and humble so you don't confuse them with mountains."
Gotta love the double-standards that are created as a result of political correctness.

Wow, even the UK isn't
that politically correct yet
