Considering IPS runs a hosting business as well as the various corporate sites, I would think it would have had redundant dns servers on two completely seperate networks. This is especially alarming due to the fact that IPS already utilizes different datacenters for their servers. Why aggregate both DNS servers on 1 network ? Actually it seems like they actually do have two other dns servers but they don't seem to be utilized by any of the corporate sites and a good handful of the hosting servers. In this particular situation though, it seems like the problem is more with the actual DNS service/config than it is with connectivity or NOS issues. The servers seem to respond fine to other requests such as ssh and icmp. Not to scold.. just some constructive criticism...

As soon as I get load speeds like that, with 50,000+ members online, I'll start giving IPS money for no apparent reason...

I just got 0.1189sec on my forum with 800+ users... I think your requirement is do-able for 500+... Better get some money ready for IPS..

Close all your browser windows, then re-open and try again, that's what I had to do to get the chat working.
