Why announce it now if there is nothing to show lol laughing.gif I would have waited until it was in alpha or beta to announce it so you at least have some screenshots to show or a demo thumbsup.gif

We actually only settled on the name about a week ago, even though this product has been in development for months now. We wanted something catchy, not something generic like "Invision Bill" original.gif

Pricing will be announced before the first public release. We are still deciding on models for the pricing structure at this time.

Hopefully IPS will avoid the mistakes of others in this area. Most billing solutions are too tailored towards hosting.. they are not flexable enough .. My clients and myself are looking for a robust billing solution where I can generate invoices and accept payment for more than just hosting or products.. Services like programming , web design, consulting, etc ... That's where most fall short.

That's exactly how Nexus came into being, we were looking for exactly the same thing and we couldn't find it. So I don't think you will be disapointed original.gif

We use it for processing/managing orders for all our products and services here, including custom programming services etc. - Is not just to manage hosting by any means! original.gif

Thank you for posting that original.gif

Many months ago we were searching for a billing system ourselves but could not find one that was not, what we called, "hosting-centric" and become frustrated.

We recognized there was a need for a solution that could sell both hosting AND normal products and services. We knew we could do it and do it better than anything already out there.

Now, enter Nexus.

Can IPN (woo, first to use those initials for it I hope?) integrate with forum software, and even IP.D?

Ok, this is a product I'm very interested in. With the few competing products being very late in releasing the latest version (the one I'm using currently is over 2 years late), and having some serious limitations, I'm looking to change.
Questions:
Will there be convertors from other apps?
Do you need BETA testers? If so, please consider me.

Convertors will be made and we will have two beta testing phases. Josh will post about that when he is ready for applicants.

That is really great to hear!! You'll definately have my money then.

One suggestion :
I would update some of the text to reflect this.. When I first read "It is a highly customizable billing solution that can be used to sell products and hosting services" I didn't think that it would support other services .. I just thought that it was just another hosting / billing cp .. which it definitely is not ..
Immulsifier
I cant wait for this. Its exactly what I have been looking for.
Sauren
There's also a typo I think:

"We will be announcing a private beta testing phase very soon which will allow qualified customers the option to test the system before it is relased and submit feedback."
Charles

We're working on more expanded feature descriptions but are wary to post much until we are sure. Although it can do some really nice hosting management, it can also handle normal products. We saw a need for a product like this because, just like you, we could not find one either. Nearly all out there are so centered around hosting if you want to sell something like a product it still asks for a domain name.

There will be forthcoming screenshots showing how you specify if a package is hosting or not and how the system changes the options depending on your choice.
