Well, I haven't been 19 for long, but I went to the casino for the first time last night. Put 75 cents into a quarter machine, and in about an hour I had $250 original.gif

I like casinos.

^^ Good advice original.gif

Gambling works best when it's irregular and you have a gut feeling... more enjoyable that way too.

Hah, don't worry I'm not going to be going frequently and I'm far from addicted. My friend and I were just looking for something to do last night. original.gif

A good game for cheap gamblers like me is Let It Ride. I put 20 bucks in and played for a couple hours - ended up with 25. I call it - the student option tongue.gif

Roulette's my game

Spent 10 hours at a table one day. Came out $500 a head.

Lost it all the next day, after 2 hours. laughing.gif

Had a good time though.

Rules of thumb..

1. Know how much you can lose.
2. Never expect to win.

Use to take college kids money at Texas Holdem' too. But no time for that anymore.

My personal favorite is single deck black jack... I also like Mini-bacaratt. I spent my 21st birthday in Las Vegas last May it was so much fun!

Roulette is a DANGEROUS game because winning involves pure luck, but loosing involves nothing but persistance. The average statistical player of European roulette will lose 1/37th of their stake, whereas the average statistical player of American roulette will lose 2/37th of their stake. Luck can tip things either way, but statistically you're likely to lose.

Poker, with the right people / table can be *VERY* lucrative for someone who understands the game. wink.gif

But as you said know how much you can loose and once you have lost it... WALK! Simple as.

All I play at the tables is roulette, and I win most of the time.

I pick one number, and bet $5-$10 on it. I keep playing that number until I hit, in the meantime I'll bet on even/odd and the colors to make up for lost chips. If red hits 3 times in a row, I bet lightly on black. If I walk in and notice red hit four or five times in a row, I'll bet heavy on black and usually I'll win. As long as I play the colors, I'll break even on the chips I lost betting a specific number.

And eventually, my number hits. I get my $370 plus what I have left of my other chips, cash out, and immediately leave to grab a meal and go home.
