Intel Guy
What is you opinion on this ares of MOD making?

In my opinion, FusoYa and BrianX of Invisionize make the best IPB MODs. biggrin.gif

Why not? I've heard of FusoYa, but never BrianX.

And on my opinion on who makes the best mods, it'd be hands-down, without a doubt, bfarber. biggrin.gif

I have to give Dean the nod because of his use of installers and a consistent platforms. His Shoutbox is easily the most common mod out there.

First... IPS themselves, but that should be a given... but none of those are free... so does that count?

Second... Dean/D-scripting... solid mods that look like they belong.

I think ibProArcade is a good mod, but I don't know who does it, and what (if anything) else they make.

invisionize.com is the best place to go for mods. Dean's site (dscripting.com?) is a forum with all his mods installed, and really shows the inspiring potential of what can be done with IPB (though I really hate the floating "Please Register" nag).

Pantalaimon
Fussy-butt. Love him! biggrin.gif

NTD I like also, nice chap, only made one mod, but amazing, and he included EVERY feature the users asked for. You might have seen his Music Lite Mod. I don't like Dean, too stuck up his own bottom. Powers got to his head, plus some of his mods take too much control.

FusoYa, Dean, bfarber (though possibly for IPS now), Chris & Elijah (ibproarcade), Dan (aeronics), madrose (though he seems to have drifted off). And of course MATT MECHAM original.gif

Hope to one day be within cooee of those guys, that could be a long long wait however original.gif

There maybe others but l only rarely install something not by the above coding gurus biggrin.gif

If I was actually able to make them without it being illegal. I'd have to say me. laughing.gif
But thats just because I'm full of myself when it comes to web design.

When I was actually able to make them, I made some pretty cool ones.
However, only me and my friends actually saw them.

The biggest IPB modification I made was that I turned IPB into a full blown Website management system that was apart of IPB but run in a completely different part of the server. Sort of.
Matt might remember it since he is only a few of the people who actually saw it.

At that time though, it wasn't very good and now I scraped it.

How about mods that you kinda regret?

I'd have to say mine is the Javascript Spoiler Tag mod (the one where you click on the link and it expands). Now I see almost every board has one and it's driving me insane! I could've coded it better but I just wanted a quick spoiler tag with some sort of eye candy...
