I think it would be really awesome if admins could choose to have certain forums collapsed by default via selecting "open" or "collapse" in the settings for forums in the admin cp.

How about taking a step further and adding some overall Admin functions that allow bits to be turned on or off based on some database/user condition.

For example: If the current member has a data field = "xxx" then set to expand otherwise set to collapse.
