Well, was eating a Cornish Pastie the other day when the grandparents started debating over types of pastry and which type was best etc, well I myself had no idea what they were on about, so just as a guage of interest, head over (if you have time) to http://www.baking911.com/pastry/101_intro.htm have a tinkle about, and then vote! Also, out of curiosity, does anyone make their own pastry, apparently homemade is much better and the quality stands out much more than with other supermarket bought products.

I thought I had seen the full extent of random polling about nothing particular, but no, you have managed to prove me wrong!

I always make my own piecrust. The key is using ICE cold water, and not mixing the shortening and water thoroughly.
