well anyways i have these questions:

if you buy a license, and it says it can only be installed once, but what do you do if something goes wrong, and you have to reinstall?

I also need to know if you can upload it on a webhost, and then get a domain, and use it with that. And does a domain still keep the same name in the url bar when changing pages on the same board, or is that DNS control. if it is where can i get that.

i also need some webhosts that you pay YEARLY

You can install it over and over with no problem. It has no built-in copy protection or anything like that. HOWEVER, you may only legally install it at one address at a time. The only exception is that you can have a 'test board' that is closed to the public.

The domain name stays the same on the address line, though after the domain name the filename will be appended for whichever page the user is currently viewing. You may be referring to sites that use frames, and the URL remains identical on every page. No, that isn't the case with IPB.

All webhosts accept yearly accounts. IPS is such a company.

No, you would install it, delete the previous installation, and go to your client's page on IPS and change the URL to your forums.

You're welcome. Hope the info helps you decide. Personally, my favorite feature of the license is that even if you buy the yearly, you never have to renew it to keep on using it legally. vBulletin, on the other hand, requires a yearly fee or else the software stops working.

yea i have used IPB as an admin in the past, and i love it, and its features. The best in my opinion.
