Hey!
Just wondering if any of you know of a script that works like an episode guide that I could use on my site for episode listings.
I have tried a few different blogs but they don't really work the way I want it to.
Perfereablly I would like this to be PHP back-ended, and a free script.
Many thanks in advance.

Can you explain in more detail what you mean by a "episode guide"? When I first saw the title I was thinking Star Wars, now I'm thinking TV-Guide'esque site. I'm pretty sure neither are what you want.

Back story. I run a Star Trek web site. As you may/may not know, there have been 5 series, and 28 seasons of the show since 1966.
I would like a script, that will organise the episodes in season by season and series by series order so that they are easily maintained and updated.
Is that any clearer?

It is a little clearer... So, you basically need a CMS that will allow you to have categories that also have subcategories?
Example:
Categories: Series 1, Series 2, etc...
- Subcategories #1: Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, etc...
--- Subcategories #2: Episode 1, Espisode 2, ..., Episode 203, etc..?
I don't know what data you plan to put in to the thing, but from your explanation, that's what I'm thinking. Am I right?

Yea thats right. Would I need to use a CMS?

Here is a (somewhat dated) comparison chart of Blog/CMS scripts. You would want one that has "Multiple" as a Category and "Yes" for Subcategories.
http://www.asymptomatic.net/blogbreakdown.htmYou can try most of these out for yourself (to test before installing) at
http://www.opensourcecms.com under ratings, then under its own page detail. I haven't tried all of these so I wouldn't be able to comment on all of them.
One that is new (FluxCMS) and not listed is also found here:
