They still don't log some actions like post editing and post merging, and haven't done so for a very long time. I have to keep track of which mods have edited which posts and when using a custom script I wrote.

For the next version, IPB should log all moderator actions, not just some.

That would probably require a large rewrite of the code, I did already request "better" moderator/administor logs. For how much of a rewrite it woudl take, I don't know. I can only name a function in PHP.

I'm hoping in IPB 3.0 all the logging and error reporting will really be improved, Brandon mentioned that it would be but if it's actually followed through with we can't be sure, just hopefully it is.

I don't think any admin acrions under "LOOK & FEEL" are logged, which they really should be.

This is sorely needed, way too many admin actions are not logged (no skin / look and feel ones that I know of, updating settings is no longer logged - it was back in 1.x though, SQL toolbox area stuff isn't logged, etc. That's some major areas that are lacking, I'm sure there's mor though.
