I figured out how to sucessfully setup a CRONTAB in the kubuntu terminal, but now I'm wondering how to add them through my PHP script. i.e. someone installs a program, and the program automatically sets up some CRON jobs to run. Similar to IPB 2.x.

IPB does not run cron jobs. The board has to be accessed in order for Task Manager to run properly. If there is no activity, then task manager will sit until someone does
