I thought folks here would be interested in leihu.com's reboot design

Awesome work! Blogs don't get much better than that.
One suggestion: I think it would look better if you reduced the number of links that have underlines.

Nice, but what happened to Onelotus?

Thanks guys.
Onelotus was being rebooted as well, it's now back up. Sorry about the downtime it was necessary to get a clean upload.
@artikus, I considered that, not sure yet.

Sexy indeed! For a blog that is perfect, it shows personality through your design too.
I will agree with the fact that some links have too many lines; maybe get rid of the underline on the 'written by' part, or scrap that altogether as i would assume only you are posting on it?

Thanks guys
I have removed some of the extra unecessary underlines, from sidebars and lists and the author name (which is necessary, due to the fact that my wife often posts her photos).
Thank you for the feedback it's been really nice.

Wow that's really good. I think it's the little details in your work which make it for me, like the fading stripes on the 'frontside' and 'stuff I dig' etc. links. The colours are great. Nice one.
Honestly, I disagree with rebooting before the actual time. That kills the concept, really.
Nevertheless, it looks nice. Not my style, but... nice.

I don't think it really matters if you "reboot" before the actual time like you said, it's an awesome design released early that's all... IMO

Yes, but don't you think it's for a reason there's a set date? Or was that just to say "Boot sometime around May 01, be it April 01 or June 01, that's cool?"

Hi Veracon,
I rebooted early, because I'm currently on dial-up and I had two large sites to reboot, so I did them early as not to get caught on Monday (my busiest day) trying to update both sites, as it is it took me all day and most of the night to reboot leihu and 1lotus, I would not consider 1 day early to be that much of a travesty.
Of course it's not, if you compare to for instance If..Else (Phu Ly) which was rebooted a week ago, but that's not really what I mean. It's more the concept of it: The concept behind CSS Reboot is to set a date where many people (re)design their sites at once.
Don't get me wrong, if you rebooted now because it would've been a problem doing it tonight, that's alright. I just felt the need to express what I feel about rebooting earlier (in general).

It looks really good. The only thing I noticed (it may be intentional) is your photo on the left looks quite low resolution (well, compressed) whereas the part on the right is higher res.

Thanks for the compliments guys,
@Rikki, I am playing around with different file types and saves for the face, right now I have a medium quality .jpg there but I am not happy with the compression, still playing with it.

The CSS Reboot is a community event for web professionals. May 1st, 2006 at 18:00 GMT Rebooters from all over the world will launch their web standards-based redesigns simultaneously, bringing traffic, interest and a little respect to their sites. There are no prizes or arbitrary winners, just great exposure and the knowledge that we all participated in something great.
