We should have a show members avatar history in the profile

But then you'd not only have to store the current avatar - you'd have to store every single avatar a person ever used.

Imagine you have 50 MB webspace - that could get eaten up pretty quickly in that case I'd imagine..

Talk about something completly and utterly useless

If it was linked avatars it could be OK, because that would only mean creating 1 extra page per member, with a few linked images.

But it sounds like something moddy to me...

I disagree this will just take up too much space but maybe you can work out a mod for it shouldn't be too hard.
