OK i think im in the right forum now. LOL ...tell me if im not
Hey everyone I have a web server setup running Slackware 10.2 wich was a preaty easy task...
But now i need to set it up as a mail server as well and I'm not sure where to start...
If any one knows of a good how to or guide to setting up a mail server I'd love to know.
And what would be the best program to use, Sendmail ? And i was lookin at Squarl Mail, Is there somthing i should use insted i know theres others out there some very much supported...
What do you guys recomend?

So you want to install something so that people can email your server, or you want something that you can read mail with?

Both. I want emails that come from
http://www.mydomain.com to be stored on my server.
and read by both POP3 and webmail. as well ofcorse send mail under my domain name.

Linux people like keeping things simple, which is the whole point of the terminal, no messy GUI to prevent you from using cool and powerful gadgets under the hood.

I would assume most (if not all) of these articles are assuming that you own the server and have root access. If this is not the case and you are hosted, you will need to talk with your host about this if you don't already have support for this.
