Friend of mine ask me to help him to optimize is Ipb 2.1.6....

I rewritted the skin for friendly URL, nofollow , xhtml validation....etc.....

Things are going ok , more visits on the site, spiders everywhere, and he just get PR 2,.....so it is not too bad..

But few things i can't deal with.....I've done a test :

-All of your webpages have the same title.
Google and other search engines will not be able to easily determine the content within your different pages, and will mark you down accordingly.

-Your website does not contain any explicit headings.
We recommend you use html heading tags for the titles of your content. Heading tags are seen by Google and other search engines as the subject of a webpage, therefore adding heading tags will help increase your search engine ranking.

You should upgrade to 2.1.7.

TITLE does change on every page.....look in the titlebar on this page.

You can easily skin the site to use the h# tags if you want.

oupsssi, you are right....i think i gave too much impotance to this test....


I introduced the tags already but i have seen webmaster on ipb who modified directly skin or sources....
But can't find the right one ...

Tags option is good but you will do it, users not.......

We won't be changing the skin drastically in 2.2. We expect to overhaul the skin for 3.x

I am not asking anyone to change the skin for me.....

I just wanted to know if someone did have an idea on how i could myself modify the skins......

Perhaps some people should consider getting together to make a semantically valid XHTML skin?

IPB 2.1.7 introduced security fixes, you really should upgrade. This isn't a support forum, if you want support on how to make custom skins post on IPS Beyond.

Like I said, you really should upgrade to IPB 2.17
