Ok question. one of my current license is expired if I wait till after the 1st of Oct will the renewal be $25 or I wont be able to renew?

Will I be able to upgrade to perpetual after Oct 1st. if so what will be the price.
BASHERS33
You can upgrade it to perpetual only before it. Mine recently expired also, and they told me I can still upgrade it to perpetual.

The public date, they have said is the deadline is Oct 1st, so don't count on them allowing you to purchase it until the IPB 2.2.0 ( when the new price structure is planned to be released ).

Look at it this way, your lucky as an expired yearly license holder that your even able to after all these months upgrade to a perpetual license so do it before Oct 1st.

Once the Yearly licenses are no longer available... they are no longer available. (that doesn't happen Oct 1 btw - it happens with 2.2's final release)

The scenario is like this: if we implement the new pricing (as an example) Oct 15. Let's say your Yearly expired back in August. Well that means you do not have any active license and since Yearly is no longer available well your only option is really to buy a new license.

That's why we are giving everyone time to decide original.gif

I guess another way of saying it is like this.... If the only thing on your account is an expired Yearly license well then you don't really have anything but a note that you used to have something.

Isn't yearly still available? It's not october 15 yet, following your example.

Yes... I'm not understanding your point.

Just wanted to make sure yearly would still be available before the official release date original.gif

btw, Charles, the admin@ibforums.com emaili isn't working.
Charles
Nothing changes until then original.gif

I should add, that you should NOT wait to make a purchase, because lets put it this way. I see everything will happen within a few hours ( everything they plan to do ) when they are ready to do it.

I think what I am getting at is, don't wait till the last minute, only to find you were late by a few hours because you were sleeping devil.gif

So what are our options if we have an expired yearly? Are we allowed to upgrade to perpetual? or do we renew our yearly then upgrade.
Pⅇter
the only thing your expired yearly is still good for, is to run the software on your forum officialy, but you can no longer update it to a new version.
Lindy
Correct, if your license is expired, you for all intents and purposes, have no license. Our records only indicate that you once had a license.
