I had begun to lose interest in the series but the last few episodes have been great, and that final episode was fantastic.

It is sad I know, but that sound at the end (won't say what for those who haven't seen it yet) sent shivers down my spine.

As soon as they said the uber-demon/whatever thing ate life I knew how it was going to be killed, and it was! A little too quickly and conveniently for my liking. It would of been nicer to have the damn thing on screen for more than 5 minutes, even if it was obviously stretching the special effects budget what with the crappy CGI and everything. Still good couple of episodes, and liked the ending, even if it was obviously a teaser for Series 3 Dr. Who, when Jack won't be turning up until episode 11 of the new series!

I'll be watching it over the next few days. I agree that in the middle there were some boring episodes. That one which went back in time to the restrauraunt was.

ummm... what? I don't remember that one, and wikipedia makes no mention of an episode like that

Just checked and it was called Random Shoes. It was the one with the 'Happy Cook' in.
Stephen
Ah, well they didn't go back in time wink.gif Unless you count flashbacks as going back in time.

But yes, that was one of the worst episodes
Chris T
Call me outspoken but I actually quite liked 'random shoes'. The more I think about 'Day One' though the more awful it seems.

Just watched 12 + 13 and that was a good finale! Best episode yet in my opinion tongue.gif

I thought the random shoes ep was really good, it was a good fun ep!

The season finale was a bit predictable, but good!

The sound at the end also sent shivers down my spine, as sad as that is tongue.gif biggrin.gif

What about the Sarah Jane Smith thing, anyone watch that? I know it's aimed at CBBC but it was (although even more predictable than a very predictable thing) good. And the doctor who christmas special, which was really really good and one of the funniest eps i've seen too. The bonus being cathrine tate didn't annoy me, i really don't like her but she was good in that.

hehe, yeah i was the exact same way, at the end you hear the good old TARDIS engine and it was like "OMG OMG OMG" shivers and goose bumps, shame we didn't get to the "The right type of Doctor" tongue.gif, maybe next episode if we're lucky, bit of a cross over.

According to something I read the Doctor isn't going to appear in Torchwood. However Jack is supposed to appear in Doctor Who again.

Yeah the doctor isn't going to appear in Torchwood. I assume because Doctor Who is a family show but Torchwood so clearly isn't so there would be conflict about the target audience (i.e. kids would want to watch the episode with the doctor in).

Actually can I point out, that we have actually seen the doctor in Torchwood a number of times. Never though about counting the number of times actually not until it clicked at the end of watching Torchwood.

If you think about it, Jack had a thing for that hand didn't he? And do you remember that it got really excited when we heard the tardis turning up as Jack was walking towards it to lift up the contaioner with the hand in it? Now think back to the first Xmas special that we saw where the doctor had just been through the change and there was a fight scene up on the ship and the doctor's hand got cut off and we saw it falling to Earth. I always wondered what happened to it, and when the Doctor turned up it clicked extactly what has. Jack found it and extactly knew who it come from. w00t.gif

It was confirmed that that was the Doctors hand by the production team right after it started wink.gif
