Im using converge for my forums yet i cant login or out using it! It says it has etc, but nothing happens, e.g im still logged in or still logged out when i shouldnt be.
I check the admin panel and it says TEST UNSUCCESSFUL.
and says something about IP.Adress not matching up? I tried turning it off but i still get the same error?
Any ideas?
(ps. i also get an email saying their was an ip miss-match.)
IS THIS A BUG? Im not sure why i can get an ip error for miss-match if its turned off?
EDIT:
I just got it working for about a second, it said the ip was fine, i then logged in and out to test it and then it broke.
I clicked on Import Members and it says IP Not Registered? But if i turned this off in the IPB admin cp why is it on about registering ip's

Seems either the converge or your board ip is changing? Are you testing this on a local pc or something?

Is there a issue with trying to converge to applications on a local pc?

No, but if the IP address changes, Converge flags and disables the integration (most webserver IP addresses don't change, at least often) and you must re-perform the handshake.

i have re-perfomed the handshake but the problem is encounted straight away? its like the ip is changed every second.
cant i turn this off? i turned off ip matching on ipb but that doesnt seem to be having any effect

dam i hate converge why's it asking for IP's people can hide them anyways. can you guys make and option for disabling this withing converge acp itself.

any assistance with this, because this is a huge bug with converge if you ask me, in the next version their should be an option to stop converge from caring about IP's

No....there is no assistance with Converge. It's a beta product. Thanks for your feedback, we'll discuss it and determine whether or not we want to make any changes before it's officially released.

Hello,
As it turns out, noticed while I was looking into converge, you can already turn this off.
Open admin/init.php and find
CODE
define( 'CVG_IP_MATCH', 1 );
change to
CODE
define( 'CVG_IP_MATCH', 0 );
I believe this file is not encoded (it shouldn't be, at least).

I just gave this a shot, but its still not working

Im able to login to Converge but IPB isnt classing me as being logged in, and the test in the converge acp is unsucessful still.

Did you re-perform the handshake in the Converge ACP afterwards?

Yes! But it just keeps complaining about the IP saying its not recognized? This thing is really pissing me off! When is IPS gonna start fixing bugs.

Um, this isn't a bug - it's working as intended (if the constant is set to 1, which it is by default, and the IP address changes, the integration is disabled for very real security reasons).

I cannot duplicate what you are reporting. Though, I did notice that the message doesn't go away after reperforming the handshake, as long as the handshake was successful the application is usable.
And please - PLEASE - this is a BETA product, and you were thoroughly forewarned NOT to use it in a live environment (as with all beta products). We will fix the bugs when we feel confident about the direction of Converge, it's capabilities with respect to the applications we need to support, and so on. 85% or more of the reported bugs have already been fixed, in fact.

Okay so IPB is using it for their forums now, meaning its stable enough right? Well i thought id give this IPC thing another stab, and the problem has arised yet again.
For some reason, even though i have set the thing to 0, IPC and IPB are acting as different accounts, ie logged in one but not the other.
