This will probably get closed as getting a date out of Invision seems to be like getting blood from a stone.

Up to 2.2 we we're told it would be released with it. So we waited, and waited, and waited for 2.2, then suddenly it finally came. And what was it.. an unsupported Beta. One of the main reasons we continued with Invision was because of the fact we we're told Converge would be ready. Its not. I have other websites that are ready to go, and have been ever since the first mention of Converge (How long ago was that now?) - all this time I (and many others) have been hanging on patiently in the hope that one day we will get what we were promised months and months ago. With 2.2.2 came another release, another *unsupported* version. Great. What is the point in releasing it if we can't use it? To keep us quiet I imagine.

I am losing money by not having this product which we have been told will be available, meanwhile paying Invision fee's in the hope that one day it will pay off. The way its going though I really don't see that happening any time soon.

How about not taking on a 'private' job next time one comes along, and consider finishing and testing converge as if it were a private job, for your loyal CUSTOMERS. Really losing patience, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

1) This is why dates are not released.

This is the software industry - unfortunately dates are subject to change. IPS said that Converge would be released alongside 2.2, yes. However we did not say that the very first release of a brand new product was going to be a final release. That would be suicide on us. It needs good solid testing so that we can be sure all issues are identified and corrected. This particular product, after all, deals directly with user logins which is a central weakness in many PHP applications.

2) I apologize that it is not final yet, however we will not release it as final until it is ready.

3) We aren't taking on 'private' jobs. wassat.gif Matt and Josh are very much working on our Business suite, which has actually been talked about and 'promised' for much much longer. Outstanding issues in Converge are addressed as time permits, while still allowing us to put our major focus on our primary software lineup.

Converge was and is intended to be a free addon for customers. You aren't really paying for converge - you purchased IP.Board (or Gallery, or Blog, etc.). original.gif

I think they outsource all "private jobs" to other companies, like for instance digi's one.

Technically, we've been "refering" jobs to Kevin, rather than outsourcing directly. original.gif
