I have a few questions to ask about IP.Converge and how to develope applications that will work with it.

1. Is it possible to have each Converge-able application not redirect to the main Converge log in/registration page?

2. Can the converge main registration and log in page be customized? I think there is a template area in the Admin CP but I don't think it has fully reached completion.

3. Will it be possible for IP.Converge to have some kind of extensions system that will allow more than just authentication info to be passed?

1) The Converge API does support this

2) All the pages can be skinned, but as you noticed the template editor is not yet complete

3) This is not currently possible, but it's something we are already thinking about original.gif

Thank you for answering my questions. I really appreciate it. original.gif I have bought an XML-RPC book and hopefully it will help me in creating a converge-able application. By the way, I was reading the developer documentation provided on the IPS website and it seems that some areas of the documentation could be a little more detailed. Is the documentation fully finished or is it still being developed? For XML-RPC, are the PHP socket functions suggested? Another question I have wanted to ask is will there be a feature in IP.Converge that allows a member to be banned from all applications? For example, each application is responsible for member suspention, but there would be a feature in IP.Converge that bans a certain member from all applications regardless of suspention in any of the other applications. I think that would be useful if someone needed to ban a really extremely malicious members very quickly. Is a final version of IP.Converge reaching its release soon? It seems that the annoucement posted today seems to be a clue. Is there anymore interesting information on products or services? It seems the blogs haven't had any new information and I thought I read about some new website hosting services and improvements. I haven't seen any changes. Anyway, keep up the good work. thumbsup.gif

Is there currently a way to make IPB not redirect to IP.Converge with out modifying IPB's files?

ipb does not redirect to ip.converge, sure there's a converge_local folder but that's just a typical php library...

Documentation is still being worked on, we'll have more with upcoming releases.

This is something we're still discussing internally, what will likely happen is that we will add the ability to deny login at the converge level, rather than filtering down a ban request to each individual application.

We do not currently have a release date for IP.Converge.

There's lots of interesting information, unfortunately we're not quite ready to share, sorry wink.gif

It's supported by the Converge API, but not IPB yet. We will add support into IPB in a future release.
