Hello,
Does our gallery support FLV (Flash video)?

If Yes - how can I set up gallery to upload and watch that kind of files?

Best regards

FLV can only be opened by the Flash editor - a standard user cannot view FLV files (without the $900 or so Adobe program to edit them). When you have a FLV file, you should convert it to SWF when saving it (i.e., save the original FLV in case you need to edit it later, and then save the SWF version - Adobe's program gives you this option).

could You give more details? I have Adobe Pack so it's not a problem

In order to embed an .flv you need to actually embed a flv flash player which will stream the output of the flv file through a .swf object.

This isn't really the place with specific assistance doing this sort of thing (I only have basic experience working with FLV files in all reality).

You can try IPS Beyond, but you'll probably have more luck looking on Adobe's site or google for instructions on how to use FLV files. Now that Jason mentions that - you CAN have an swf player that can read FLV files as I recall, but it's not something really related to Gallery.

Maybe JW Media Player can be used to put full flash support in IP.Gallery.
The player is used on very much websites as alternative for the official expensive Adobe software.
It is available under Creative Commons license and also cheap for commercial use (if IPB would use it in IP.Gallery it cost only once 100 dollar for unlimited use by the customers.)

So I hope you guys can add flash support to IP.Gallery. I get more and more flv movies (from game publishers) so I can just simpely add them to IP.Gallery.
Also by using something like this there could be a nice interface which will blend good into the board skins.
