Hi, i live in Vancouver BC Canada. i was wondering if i could get some help. im thinking of starting my own business in the "financial collections" market. i have a very unique idea with high potential profit gains. i was wondering if anyone can help me with the the following.

1. lets say i need to contact a head office of a corporation, such as , lets say walmart to make a business proposal or short term contract, how would i go about doing so, and do most corporation accept business proposals?

2. could anyone tell me what kind of corporation i would need to register. such as LLC, s-corp, etc, i have no idea what these are, and what is available in canada.

thanks for reading

I'm hoping this doesn't come off wrong, as criticism usually does, but the first thing I'd do is touch up on grammar/capitalization/etc.

"I" when referring to yourself, should always be capitalized. Proper use of commas (i.e. in "Vancouver BC Canada") is a must. "walmart" should be capitalized as it is a proper noun, and so on.

It is *extremely* critical to have very professional writing if you are intending to deal with large corporations like Walmart - they wouldn't look twice, I'd venture to guess, if they received a letter formatted the same as your post.

That said, they do a lot of local business ventures. In the Walmart near my house they have a local optician, a local hair-cut shop, a McDonalds, H&R Block booth, and so on. I don't know what their criteria is, but I'd say they'd probably at least hear out a well-written and sound business proposition.

The type of business you would need to register depends upon the business sector, kinds of protection you need, size of the business, and so on. I wouldn't be able to answer that myself. Even if I knew those details, I'm not familiar with all the kinds of business types there are. This page may help:

Ohhhh, it is SOOOO tempting - but I'll leave it alone. cool.gif

As for the OP - I'm sure there are SBA's in Canada, you're probably better off going straight to the source, so to speak, in order to get your vision started.
