Probably a very old issue, but still need to ask it;

If I have the following categories;
  • Gallery -> Test_1
  • Gallery -> Test_1 -> Test_2
Both Test_1 and Test_2 have several albums in them.

When looking at the Test_1 category, is there any way that one can have both the albums AND its sub-categories to be viewable at once?
Like first listing the sub-categories of Test_1, and then its albums.

ACP Settings for both categories are as follows;
Category Open? Yes
Category only mode? No
Album only mode? Yes

At least with the above configuration, I haven't been able to 'see' both sub-categories AND albums (in the same view).

I don't think this is possible presently as I recall. I know it was one of the things I was going to look into for 2.2 (since there's not a lot of reason it can't work this way.

OK, then I guess it might find its way into the next release tongue.gif

Any chance of this issue being included into the next Gallery release (as it would help tremendously)?

This is an interesting post.

I just created a category only category (redundant, eh), and sub categories in them, but when i go to the main category it only says "there are no albums here"... well... of course there are not, but it doesnt specify that there are sub categories in it, and that's something i think its interesting to add...

Here the example:

The categories...

No albums, but no subcategories either!

Please consider adding links to subcategories for a newer version!!! original.gif

You may want to check that you don't have Album Only Mode? on too. That will cause this error to show, because Album Only Mode? overrides Category Only Mode?
Immort
... OH! Go figure...

Thanks very much! now it does show the subcategories... original.gif
