tried the zend version (on test board) on rc1 and only ioncube worked, are you gonna release a ioncbe final version?

There were some issues with the ioncube encoder as I understand it. We do intend to put one out as soon as possible.

I just tried to install the Zend version on top of RC1, which was Ioncube and apparently the server doesnt have zend installed. Is there a way to download an RC release still?

Not at this time. I don't know all of our future plans however.

No, I'm afraid there isn't. I'll see if we can't get an ioncube version up today.
