Excuse the mess, the most important part of the photo is the item in the right, which makes the stress of customers easier! Damn, I should really tidy up looking at that!


This one is a special computer, it's got the rare Socket 423 Pentium 4 (pre-release version for PC Manufacturers), it's as slow as hell though at 1.4ghz

They're really good for me - think it must depend alot on the area you're in.

Speeds were a bit dodgy when it was first upgraded to 20meg but was fine after a couple of weeks. Get full speed even at peak times now - hasn't once gone down in the two years I've been with them (other than planned overnight maintenance - but am asleep usually when that happens!)

It's interesting you say that because my internet hasn't been at the speeds it should be. I recently upgraded to 20meg too and it has only been two weeks, is that under or equal or above the few weeks you mentioned?

Also, how long have you had your modem (that they provide)?

Think it was close to three weeks - but this was when the entire region was upgraded - not just me upgrading to 20mb!

OK, well I'm not getting the speeds I should be (though according to speedtest.net I am), yes there's the speeds of the server to consider and how far away I am from the exchange unit (which is about 35metres away from my house) but even my friend is getting better speeds than me and he's on 4meg ... I don't know what to do/think. Plus my modem has problems as it stops my connection being processed randomly, I've had this modem (webstar DPX100) for over 4-5 years and it just sucks, I think it's getting old and malfunctioning but Virgin Media won't provide another one because all the lights are displaying appropriately, do you know of any way to get a new one?

They are of no help, they just like to restart things So yeah, it's safe to say they are of no use. I'd love to switch to another provider but there's complications with the phone line so it's difficult to switch (as most if not all other providers require a BT phone line {that we don't have}).

I'm waiting to see whether Apple releases a new computer to accompany the Leopard release (or anytime soon) before I go out and get a new computer. Besides, my iMac works fine for me, but I do love the new ones.

Since the webcam takes pretty small areas at a time, I have to split it in 5 - from left to right.
