I'm having problems developing a plugin for Joomla to make it 'Converge-able'. It runs through the entire handshake process just fine but, after checking the info (?info=1) it dies with the following error:
Handshake updated not received from local application

I've no idea what this error could mean and I'm having a tough time finding it anywhere so, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I can provide the debug output from the converge installation if needed.

Make sure there is a converge_local folder in Joomla.

Yea, I read the spec many times, nothing is missing. Ran tests on every part of the Joomla side, as I said, it gets through the last part of the handShake process and dies.

Well, if I ever finish, I'll send a copy for you to beta test. It will consist of the converge plugin, and a login template in order to switch the login to converge. Because I don't feel like writing an entire plugin for it.

Maybe try asking over at IPSBeyond. You might get more success with such responses.

That would be nice, but I'd have to buy a license to do so, since I only work for my clients, I don't plan to buy a license of my own. Unfortunately, due to this error, I'm extremely behind on my schedule so I may just have to switch to something that would be easier to work with.

Are you sending the handshake_end response? Note in the developer docs it states

I thought of that, though the doc isn't clear as to whether the response should be sent. If you'll re-read the line you posted, it says nothing about sending a response. Personally guys, as soon as I finish this, I'm re-writing that doc myself, I hate to say it, but it reads like Matt himself wrote it.
