in ionCube zip this file is encoded in old zend it was NOT encoded now how are we to use adminCP name change if the file is encoded
bfarber
I think that's actually specified in init.php and not initdata.php, isn't it?

nope its in initdata.php in zend copy that is where it states to change admin dir.

More importantly, of course, do you really need to change your admin directory for beta testing? unsure.gif

I just checked on the new IonCube version last night and it says initdata.php, but I didn't check to see if it was encoded.

I would like to see the zend version back. I hate running ioncube runtime loaders as my hoster sometimes disables it for no reason and I have to call them up to reset it. If I was to be absent from my site for awhile this would be horrid. They however do fully support zend and have it installed.

I hope they get Source Guardian ones they are much better then zend or ioncube

We likely won't have Zend return in the immediate future, however we will get this file unencoded for the next update. wink.gif

I don't understand? Isn't Zend more popularly supported by hosting companies compared to ioncube? Everytime I see a ioncube topic it is always a nightmare topic of someone having issues installing it, no access to php.ini or problems with it being hosted. Is IPS prepared to dedicate or have extra time to address ioncube issues? After all it is a 3rd party application.

PS. Source Gardian is crap IMO and from using TPP mods back in the day everyone should know how their encoded files are handled by their hoster.
