Hi,
I have a GMail Account and I was wondering, what programming language is google mail and other google services programmed in?
Thanks

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I've seen some Python pages on google somewhere. If you look at a
Web Engineer job app (which is a Python page) you'll see that they ask for experience or Perl, Python or PHP - so I guess it'll be a scripting language or sorts.

AJax - Its a programming language that can be embedded with Perl, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is a programming language that only changes the data on a page that has been changed, if you add a reply - the reply shows back up (on IPB2), if you click "compose mail" in gmail, it will return just the area for the text editor. I looked at it yesterday after I had posted this and searched at our local borders. Its AJax that it sounds like!

AJAX isn't a programming language, more a technique for web development. Google have been using AJAX for a while and they certainly do use it on GMail, but it is not the language that makes it all tick.
