Are there any mainstream products that there is a demand for being Convergable? Any requests for making products "converge-ready"?

Here's a list of products that I will be making "converge-ready" soon. There's still time to add your favorite application to that list. Let me know if there's anything in particular you want to see.

Do you guys do custom requests for scripts that aren't necessarily mainstream ? Are they limited to php scripts or can they also be cgi scripts ?
BryanH
WordPress for sure, but I'd recommend the latest version 2.5. No point in developing a plugin for an outdated version.

Take a look at sources/loginauth/external/conf.php and then configure under the Tools & Settings tab in your ACP - you can eailly integrate IPB with any program without using Converge at all.

Here ya go.

http://www.invisionbridge.com/demo/wp-logi...?loggedout=true

Login = test
pass = demo

after you are logged in to wordpress and play around, follow this link http://www.invisionbridge.com/demo/forum/index.php?act=idx
and you will be auto logged into board. This is for Word Press 2.5

WordPress MU - This is the one that allows members to create their own blog. WordPress 2.5 only allows site owner to create a blog but allows users to contribute. thumbsup.gif

There is links http://www.invisionbridge.com/forum/index.php?act=idx about both versions and their progress. rolleyes.gif and also they are free! original.gif

EDIT: Oops! It's not free, sorry... I Haven't registered to check pricing but please keep us upto date

PS Again: It doesn't use Converge as the post I followed to find the above info led me to believe, but if this is all you are looking for then apparently it does the job. I would ask Shadow Wolf member here his opinions about it as I think he is testing this right now.

Sorry, I know what MU is. My post was referring to Professor J's post about the loginauth conf file.

We will take requests for things that aren't mainstream. It will have to be PHP for now, though. I've considered a version developed in C# for anyone using IIS/ASP.NET that would want to hook into a Converge server. We may do a Perl version, but that's terribly unlikely, at the moment.

Duly noted. WordPress is a bit faster than we've been able to be. We'll certainly update what we have so far and I'll update the website, this evening.

We'll add it to our list of software to look into. original.gif

MediaWiki. We'd really like to see MediaWiki integration, as we run both WordPress and MediaWiki (news, and wiki, respectively).

Considering vBulletin has both WordPress and MediaWiki integration, getting IP.Converge to talk to both may keep up from migrating to vBulletin later this year.

Very good suggestion and one I hadn't previously thought of. That's definitely going on the list. Thanks.

When do you expect this to be released Jeremy?

When do you expect this to be released Jeremy?

I'm pretty certain it will be within Q2. I can't be anymore specific than that, as anything could come up between now and the end of the quarter to push things back. As we get closer to the full release, I'll definitely put up more updates.

I've checked your website, Jeremy, and could find nothing about pricing (other than your consulting).

I assume this will be a paid product?

If so, will only one "overall" license need to be purchased? And what will be be the cost (rough idea, at least)?

If I buy it, for example, and want to converge my forum with a friend's phpBB forum, another friend's IPB Forum, and yet another friend's Wordpress Blog, will they need to purchase it was well, or simply download some "plug-in" that allows their board to be converged with "my" copy?

Thanks.
