Woo hoo! Can't wait. biggrin.gif Anyone else looking forward to it?
Josh
It's returning Thursday here, can't wait! biggrin.gif
Jaime
There so many unanswered questions from last season's cliffhanger finale so it should be very interesting. original.gif

happy.gif I can't wait!

they probably only have about 3 episodes because of the writers strike.. sad.gif
Sam
It's impressive how sky have caught up with the US, but (although we've got satellite at home), why isn't it on sky three? Surely there's a packet to be made with it on Freeview?
zigs
I want 24 sad.gif I don't like Lost

It's part of a new agreement in which, at least for the more popular American shows, we'll be getting them around about the same time as they're aired in the US - an effort to cut down on the number of people downloading episodes via BitTorrent apprently, of which Britain is one of the worst offenders.

Edit: Sky's business plan generally follows the form: wait til programme x becomes popular, poach it from terrestrial channel y, force people to switch to Sky package z... PROFIT!!! So don't count on seeing anything worth watching on Sky Three.
elj
Damn only having Freeview. pinch.gif

Alas, I can't wait. biggrin.gif

Close... I think they managed to complete 8 episodes - half the season.

rolleyes.gif Hopefully that count doesn't include the recap airing before the season premiere.

Stupid Sky 1 still isn't on Virgin stupid Media getlost.gif
Sam
That's true Wombat, but then I'm not sure many sign up to sky for LOST or for whatever else they've pinched.

Well they had that little tiff didn't they? tongue.gif
Stephen
Nope, but Sky hope they do.

If it BBC hadn't of grabbed the second season of Heroes as fast as they had I would have expected Sky to. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the third season go to Sky.

Anyway yeah I'm looking forward to it. Only 48 more episodes until it is all over for good laughing.gif

I love love love LOST!!

I have it on my DRV (a version of TiVo) and when you set it to record it tells you how many new shows are queued from that show and it's showing there are 13. I'm not sure how many are new. They said at the end of last season that they would film all shows for one season so there wouldn't be reruns in the same season. But it's Hollywood and the writers are on strike. So who knows?
Larry
Anyone been watching the Mobisodes the last few months? The last one (13th I believe) is really good.
Debbie
I got bored with it half way through the first series... Just seen a clip for the new 3rd series and I'm not really tempted to watch. I don't care what the story is anymore LOL

It doesn't count that, there's 8 new episodes completed. thumbsup.gif

I love LOST I'm really looking forward to it, I've watched every single episode so far.

Every episode leads you onto asking more questions so I've got to keep watching.
JustCuz
Does anyone expect there to be many more flashforwards this season?

Personally, I hope not - they're too spoilerish.

Yes, the new season will be comprised of flashbacks AND flashforwards. thumbsup.gif

Apparently getlost.gif

Thanks to all the flashforwards in the season premiere, we now know that six people manage to get off the island - Hurley's "Oceanic Six."
And combined with the flashforward from last season's finale, we know who half of those people are: Hurley, Jack & Kate.

Those are things I would have preferred not to know yet. sad.gif
Jaime
I personally really like the flashforwards. original.gif Those have made the show more suspenseful than the flashbacks. Like in last season's finale where they showed the funeral of a mysterious person. Jack's desperate desire to go back to the island had me pondering for days why.
JustCuz
I think wondering IF someone is going to die is suspense.
Knowing someone dies but wondering WHO is more like anticipation.

Now that we know Kate, Hurley & Jack make it off the island - any time they are in a precarious situation, we won't doubt its outcome because we know they survive. In that case, the suspense is gone. sad.gif

If you honestly think Kate or Jack'd die you're insane anyway. They'll kill off the smaller characters, but those are the two leads, they go, the show goes

And besides that, they could die in the flash forwards. It seems clear they will try to get back to the island, so they could very well die doing that, I don't think any of the Oceanic 6 are 'safe'.
Stephen
Well we're pretty sure at least one of them dies aren't we, since Jack visits a funeral home in one of the first flash forwards they did, and then he talks to Kate about it later.

To be fair that could also be a character who hasn't even been introduced yet, we have no idea who it is.
Rikki
Personally I don't watch LOST, but I'm thinking of watching it on DVD once it's completely finished. Why am I putting this in a spoiler?

Bring back 24, Lost isn't very good, I have all 3 boxsets and so far only managed to watch half of the first series
Stephen
24 won't be back for a very long time, what with the writers being on strike and Kiefer Sutherland being in prison wink.gif <edit> ah OK, seems he was released a little while ago, hadn't heard that

Can I ask why you would buy all boxsets without having viewed any of it, surely at the least it would be more sensible to watch Season 1 and then decide whether to continue....

Definitely looks that way but I wonder who? I noticed the funeral was in a Black community so was that a clue or a way of throwing us off?
Michael Merritt
I found it interesting that the flashforward from last night seemed to actually take place before the one from the Season Finale. Jack mentions wanting to grow a beard, and hasn't yet seemed to get into his state of wanting to go back to the island. I wonder if we'll end up going back to the point of the boat getting to the island, then jump to a point where they all try to go back.
elj
Yeah, it took place before, because Jack was telling Hurley he was crazy for wanting to go back to the island, and was growing a beard. One of the most interesting things is guessing just when things are happening now.

It seems very much like they left the others on the island or got rescued or something (it doesn't sound like everyone else died?), I'd guess that when they got off the island they all went their separate ways, and someone that Jack cared about - or "not a friend or family" but wanted to go to the funeral anyway - that Kate obviously didn't give a damn about.

I found Hurley's comment to Jack about 'he should have gone with Jack instead of Locke' very interesting...

I also really loved some of the way some of the film was put together - the recaps of Charlie drowing and the slow motion of Hurley cannonballing were awesome. biggrin.gif

Uh, end geeking out. tongue.gif

Agreed, that was perfectly done. It was tough not to be moved by the Charlie stuff. Hurley's reactions, him telling Claire, the flash forward to Charlie talking to Hurley. It was so well done and also sad because Charlie is really good to be missed.

Cripes! Now we have four new characters to follow. How long do you imagine they'll be around?

shifty.gif And do you suppose Ben's spy on the boat could be the long, lost Michael???

Good thought! But I don't think he'd be up to it, he just doesn't have the right attitude or strength to be an other.

But s402 was great, the ending just left me like WHaaa! hehe cant wait for next week!

I'm also guessing that Michael is Ben's spy, would make a lot of sense.

Lots of great stuff in last nights episode: someone faking Oceanic 815's crash, Dharma in a dessert ( Tunisia, I think? May remember that wrong ), and of course the four new characters who all have interesting back stories, and their on the island for Ben? Gonna be a great season biggrin.gif

elj
Indeed it is.

My prevailing reaction throughout this episode was 'omgwtfpolarbear'. original.gif
